Project Detail
According to Ivan Bošnjak, general manager at Millennium Team, in addition to responsibility and support for professional training of young people, the program has a positive impact on employers because it allows them to reach adequate and deficient personnel.
Final certificates of the professional training project “Stimulating Youth Employment” were presented at a ceremony at the Palace of Serbia to participants who successfully completed the program, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the German organization for international cooperation GIZ in partnership with public and private sectors.
The Minister of Youth and Sports of Serbia, Vanja Udovicic, congratulated the winners of the certificate, thanked everyone who supported the project and pointed out that many participants started their own business after gaining additional knowledge, and that a large number of young people completed training in career guidance and counseling, as well as professional employment training.
-I would like to express my great satisfaction with the fact that, after three years of successful implementation of this project, we continue to develop our support to organizations and centers that provide a stimulating environment for young people to acquire entrepreneurial skills and start their own business. Their goal is to facilitate finding a job through vocational training so that you can become more competitive in the labour market on your own, which many of you have confirmed so far by getting jobs in various fields – such as client services, textile industry, applied crafts and others – Minister Udovicic emphasized.
Since 2015, Gosa Institute, a recent member of the Millennium team, has been a participant in the Stimulating Youth Employment project, which aims to provide additional education to people aged 15 to 35 in order to improve their position on the labour market and help them find employment faster.
According to Ivan Bošnjak, general manager of the Millennium Team, in addition to the responsibility and support for professional training of young people, the program has a positive impact on employers because it allows them to reach adequate and deficient personnel.
– That was exactly the motive for the Millennium team to appear in the process of privatization of the Gosa Institute, when it was in progress. As a company, we have recognized the interest in the potential to reach an institution that can make it easier for us to provide the necessary staff for our activities. There is a huge problem in the labor market, especially for welders. However, we realized that there is a great opportunity for additional training of existing welders, additional training for some newer technologies, but also the potential for some new, young welders who are yet to be built – Ivan Bošnjak said.
Ivan Bošnjak, general manager of the Millennium Team, expressed satisfaction that many national and international companies have expressed interest in hiring candidates qualified at the Gosa Institute, where more than 200 young individuals have acquired additional knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the last three years.
